Since its conception, Serta has been considered one of the top competitors in the mattress industry. Originally founded by an assembly of independent manufacturing merchants, Serta has always known that making it in the mattress industry meant delivering quality and comfort to their consumers. Priced in the mid-market luxury range, the Serta Perfect Sleeper Whispers Parkmore mattress suggests a high quality mattress. Unfortunately, there were many areas where the Whispers Parkmore fell short, namely the coil system. In this price range, a high quality pocket coil system is customary. The Whispers Parkmore, however, uses a continuous coil system. This results in an inferior motion transfer quality when compared to pocket coil systems. As such, this mattress received only three out of five possible stars.

But it wasn’t all bad. The new changes to the Perfect Sleeper line included a slight revamp on the old coil system – an individually wrapped coil-in-coil system, which does help a little with the motion transfer problems. Unfortunately, it still isn’t the same quality. Additionally, there are more coils for your money with the Serta Perfect Sleeper Whispers Parkmore mattress; a total of 850 coils in all. So for those that sleep pretty soundly, the motion transfer benefits of the changes might be sufficient.

Potential buyers might also be interested to know that the Whispers Parkmore models have enough comfort layers to keep all those coils out of their back, hips and sides. Composed of 2.5” of memory foam as well as a latex foam layer, the abundant comfort layers should help provide a comfortable sleeping surface, even after you spend some time sleeping on it.

Perfect Sleepers are also one of the few mattress models to actually receive approval from the National Sleep Foundation, an organization that works towards helping people achieve a better quality of life through more restful sleep.

Is it Right for You?

That one question, that’s what it really all comes down to, isn’t it? The answer is….that depends.

If you have a hard time sleeping through motion disturbances, you’ll probably want to keep shopping. If, however, you can sleep pretty well through the night, despite all the movement, the Serta Perfect Sleeper Whispers Parkmore might be exactly what you’re looking for.

Just remember – before you decide to buy the Perfect Sleeper Whispers Parkmore, consider the price carefully. While it is a pretty good mattress overall, the price is really a little much, considering the lack of motion transfer benefits.
